The second episode of the series start with a little flashback of what happened in the episode one and then shows the scene where the episode one ended i.e the scene where Izuku asks All Might that – if he can become a hero like him despite being “Quirkless,” and save people with fearless smile? As soon as All Might hears Izuku’s words he stops in surprise as if he heard or saw someone asking the same thing to other hero, Well this is the feeling we get from the behaviour of All Might but we soon see a concrete reason for why All Might was surprised by hearing Izuku’s question..
All Might shrank or more like completely deflated right in front of Izuku, that shock when Izuku saw that transformation was so great that he had a face like he could die anytime. Probably the most funniest thing i have ever seen, In short if i were to explain All Might in a single sentence then i would say he is just like “Master Roshi” from dragon ball z. Since i have only read Chapter 1 from the Manga, whatever i am going to say now is all based on hunch or more like its a theory that i came up with and has around 75% chance of being true.
The reason All Might shrank because i think he is quirkless and he was surprised by Izuku’s question because he saw himself in Izuku. His quirk is like a power boost and when he uses that quirk he get a body full of muscles. All might did said something in the episode when he showed a severe wound to Izuku he got 5 years ago in battle with a super villain (according to the timeline of the series) which caught my attention. He said his several internal organs were ruptured because of that he can only work as an active hero for 3hrs. So basically what i think is, since All Might is quirkless his power boost quirk i think he might have got it from somebody and he must have trained himself and his body to get accustomed to the quirk, i think he became this skinny and slim all because of that severe wound he got. If he were to be in his normal state i think he would at least have some decent body, in short he would have been healthy instead of being a skinny person.
Getting back to the topic, well All Might showed his severe wound to Izuku and said that “i can’t say that a person can become a hero even though he quirckless, because pro heroes always put their life on line facing death head-on, When i receved this would 5 years ago i told hero authorities to cover up the details of the battle and my condition, the smiling face i put is to trick the fear and pressure inside me as the symbol of justice can’t afford to be a weak person!” Izuku feels depressed and in the mean time All Might goes to police to handover the slime villain he caught in the episode one but he notices that he dropped him somewhere and soon he notices that there is a chaos in public area. Izuku and All Might both arrives at that place through different route and notices the slime villain is causing ruckus once again although Izuku notices one more thing and that is – Bakugou (his childhood friend who always bullies him) trapped in the middle of that ruckus and the heroes including All Might are unable to do nothing.
All Might notices that he become convinced of one thing and that is Izuku is the one possessing the most ultimate quality needed to be a hero and that quality is desire to help others without hesitating. Also that triggers the adrenaline rush in All Might and he once again get backs in his Macho state and defeats the slime villain and saves Izuku and Bakugou! While returning home Bakugou feels pretty frustrated because he got saved by a quirkless guy and warns him to don’t look down on me.

He also asked that “those who were the top heroes always said one thing, whenever they see someone in distress their body moves to save them naturally without even thinking, was it the same thing for you?” Izuku while crying and remembering his mother’s words “Sorry Izuku” answers “Yes!” and then All Might says the thing that Izuku wanted to hear the most – “Izuku, My boy, You can become a hero!!”
